David Harris: THE CONTEMPORARY MEANING OF AUSCHWITZ:WHY IS UNDERSTANDING AUSCHWITZ RELEVANT IN THE 21ST CENTURY?
David Harris, a lifelong Jewish activist, has led American Jewish Committee (AJC) since 1990. He was referred to by the late Israeli President Shimon Peres as the “foreign minister of the Jewish people.” Harris will discuss the rise in antisemitism globally, the receding memory of the Holocaust, and the enduring lessons of Auschwitz for our world.
