Many American Jews, who not so long ago thought Jew-hatred was a threat faced by Jews elsewhere in the world but not here at home, are suddenly waking up to new realities. AJC CEO David Harris has been in the center of this fight for well over four decades, first in Europe and now in the United States. Under his leadership, AJC was the first Jewish organization to call out the resurgence of Jew-hatred in Europe in 2000-1.
